Rainey Update

This is my favorite picture of Sweet Rainey girl! So precious. We just love her and can't get enough of this little cutie.

Addison is beginning to love bath time. Daddy loves giving her a bath too...with lots of bubbles!

Our new family! This is one of the pictures taken when we got our newborn pictures taken. And now we are three...Charley, Britt and Baby Rainey!

At 7 weeks, we got an impression of Addison's hands and feet as a gift for her grandparents. She was a trooper. They fire the clay  on a decorative plate. Too cute. I can't wait to see how they turned out. Her little fingers and toes are so teeny tiny!

Out on a lunch date with MiMi! The bigger the bow the better! What a pretty girl.

Preparing for Miss Addison Loraine's Arrival!

Soon after our incredible trip to Europe, we learned that we would be expecting our first little one! I had visited the doctor a few times before hearing the wonderful news due to what we thought were infertility issues. I had actually gotten pregnant during a time when I didn't think it was possible, but it did not take long and we are forever grateful to God for giving us this gift. I am lucky to have a fabulous nurse, who happens to be one of my best friend's moms. When she called me at work with the news, I froze and instantly teared up. I couldn't wait and had to call Charley immediately. I think we sat on the phone in silence for quite awhile. We would soon be parents!

I write this now, as I lay here 34 weeks pregnant today! The doctor put me on bed rest, and it looks like our little princess might be in our arms a earlier than her original due date, April 28th. We are beside ourselves and a little nervous. We can only pray that she is born a healthy baby. We adore her and love her so much already, even if she is keeping mommy up at night. We know we have many, many more sleepless nights in our future, and it will ALL be so worth it. Daddy will soon be wrapped around a special someone's itty bitty finger!

Europe 2009

Charley and I spent much of our "getting to know each other" days talking about our past studies abroad in Europe. Charley was fortunate enough to travel all over Italy and Switzerland the same summer that I spent studying in Spain. Little did we know, our memories of Florence and Salamanca and our stories of canyoning in Interlaken and watching the bulls run in Pamplona would be an experience we would be so blessed to share 6 years later. Returning to Europe together was a big priority to us, for us, for our relationship. It was a journey we chose to invest in before trying for our first baby. Here are some of our favorite pictures from our amazing trip with two of our good friends, Adam Cole and Brittany Williams (soon to be Brittany Cole..yea!)
